In-Network Insurance:
Carefirst/BCBS/Anthem
Cigna/Evernorth
Please understand that it is the client's responsibility to confirm that your provider is in-network and if authorizations, referrals, deductibles, coinsurance, and co-pays may apply. Therapy services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. Some plans may have mental health benefits that are covered by an insurance company separate from other medical bills. Please check your coverage carefully by asking your insurance provider the following questions:
1. Do I have mental health insurance benefits either in-network or out-of-network?
2. If planning to do telehealth (online/virtual therapy), are telehealth services covered by my plan?
3. What is my deductible and has it been met?
4. How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
5. What is the coverage amount per therapy session and my cost-sharing?
6. Have you selected or are you required to select a Primary Care Physician?
7. Is a referral required from my Primary Care Physician?
8. Do I need to identify the name of the provider from whom I will be receiving services?
9. Is authorization required for services?
Inner Peace Inspirations, LLC also accepts clients who would like to be seen on a self-pay basis or clients who would like to use their out-of-network benefits. With out-of-network benefits you will be provided with the appropriate and necessary documentation in order to facilitate submitting your insurance claim.
You Have the Right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" (GFE) explaining how much your medical care will cost:
Under the law of the Public Health Service Act (No Surprises Act), beginning 1/01/2022, healthcare providers and healthcare facilities are required to provide a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges for items and services. This Act aims to prevent "surprise billing" for health care services for individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care plan, are receiving services from an out-of-network provider at an in-network facility, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage. You should receive a Good Faith Estimate in writing, at least 1 business day before, when scheduling services for the first time, when new services are added to your care plan, and when fees for any such services change. You are also entitled to request and receive a Good Faith Estimate at any time. The Good Faith Estimate is not a contract and does not require you to obtain psychotherapy or other services/items from Inner Peace Inspirations, LLC or Karin M. Senft, LCSW-C. If you are billed at least $400 more than the Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the bill. For more information about the dispute process go to cms.gov/nosurprises or call HHS at (800) 368-1019.
