I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) with 18 years of experience supporting adults and children through life's challenges. I hold a Bachelors in Social Work and Psychology from UMBC and a Masters in Social Work with a Clinical Concentration in Families and Children from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. I am a certified Financial Social Worker and have training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE). Over the years, I have worked in private practice, schools, and residential settings providing individual, couples, and group therapy. My clinical experience includes treating children and adolescents with special needs and adults managing a wide range of mental health conditions. I also have experience in management, team leading, and clinical supervision. I specialize in treating adults experiencing anxiety and other mood disorders, challenging life transitions, living with chronic illness, navigating parenting stress, dealing with relationship struggles, or coping with grief and loss. My approach is client-centered, strengths-based and incorporates techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Meditation, and Motivational Interviewing. I am committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive space for LGBTQIA2S+, BIPOC individuals, and those in ENM/poly/kink affirming relationships. At the heart of my work, I view my purpose as helping people help themselves - supporting each person in building the tools they need to live with more clarity, insight, self-acceptance and healthier relationships.
